We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to lead business development across Western Canada!
Our client is a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of flat-rolled steel products, supplying key industries across North America. With a focus on innovation, long-term partnerships, and operational excellence, this organization offers a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment for growth-minded professionals.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new business, and driving revenue growth throughout the Western Canadian market. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on sales professional with experience in the steel or metals industry.
Key Account Manager Responsibilities: Lead business development and account management initiatives across Western Canada Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive long-term growth Develop account strategies and regional business plans to meet or exceed annual sales targets Negotiate pricing and supply agreements in alignment with company objectives and market conditions Provide sales forecasts and contribute to annual budgets and long-term planning initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Purchasing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed
The successful candidate has: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred) Minimum of 5 years of outside sales or business development experience in the steel or metal service industry Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including experience working with senior executives Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and managing a strategic sales pipeline Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms Located in Western Canada (preferably Winnipeg) with the ability to travel as required
Compensation and Benefits: The discussed base salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 Comprehensive benefits package including pension contributions Car allowance Remote working environment
