Key Account Manager

Job Description:

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for managing an assigned key accounts by identify account directions & opportunities for company profitability, solving day-to-day operation issues, managing, and training merchandiser, consolidating demand planning, and working with related functions to achieve sales targets and business objectives together with good relationship management of assigned customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for mid-term planning of account strategy aligning with company and customer directions on trading term to achieve maximum targeted profit with mutuality principle. This position needs to be involved negotiation with +1 level of customer.

Profitability Planning (return on investment) of responsible portfolios by identifying opportunities for improvement such as in terms of cost saving and margin mix.

Category management by working closely with customers side & related cross-functional and leading strategic projects to achieve company agendas.

Strengthen the relationship and get alignment with key contact customers, convince and solve issues by supporting merchandiser & operation team in order to win at store level.

Consolidate and review demand forecasts of assigned key accounts with sales planning team.

Put together periodic and annual sales close estimation, trade spending, the business situation as well as action plans and update to sales management team in a period meeting.

Manage, train, and evaluate performance of merchandising consultant in order to meet target store coverage, especially in potential stores and to maintain a competitive edge over competitors in terms of pay plan, incentive, number of secondary displays, number of store coverage and skills.

Perform other tasks as assigned by Line manager or superior

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or a related field.

At least 5 years of working experience in a sales representative role and experience in managing a key account in the FMCG industry.

Strong influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills and Intelligent, achievement-oriented, and self-motivated with the desire to learn and grow with a positive personality.

Strong understanding of the respective retail market environment – Supermarket & CVS, Traditional Trade, Modern Trade and B2B.

Proven track record of developing sales and customer relationships as well as developing and implementing trade initiatives.
