Key Account Manager, Singapore

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for the achievement of sales, quality distribution, in-store excellence and operational efficiency of the account or channel assigned.

Based on the product category assigned, this role will manage strategic relationship with telco/ chain retailers/ open channel retailer partners; be accountable for monthly sales revenue target for designated accounts.

(Product category could be: Mobile Experience (MX), Home Appliances (HA/DA), AV/TV, Brand Memory, etc.)

Role and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key accountsDevelop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives through joint-business-plan (JBP)Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within existing accountsConduct regular account business performance review (QBR)Negotiate commercial agreements, terms & conditions for sales programs and all relevant commercial matters with key accountsAchieve and exceed sales targets for assigned accounts Analyse partners’ data and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges Provide insights and recommendations to improve partners’ performance and overall business performance for the assigned product categoryCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of channel promotions and other commercial activities, to meet both the business needs of external partners and Samsung Singapore

Skills and Qualifications

Relevant sales experience in the assigned product category or industry is highly preferred (for eg. mobile device and/or telecom industry for MX)Experience in key account management and/or channel sales management is a strong plusResults oriented and proven track record in meeting sales targetsProficiency in building and nurturing long term business relationship with key accountsAbility to perform well under pressure and in a fast-moving environmentComfortable in connecting and presenting to ‘C-suite’ executives, both internally and externallyPossess strong interpersonal and negotiation skillsData-driven, detailed and the ability to make business proposals / recommendations based on data and factsSelf-initiated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionPossess strong team spirit and willingness to go the extra mile and contribute as a team playerProficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (for weekly reports and stakeholder presentation)
