What are we looking for?

The Data Analyst is responsible for data management, client reporting, trade processes, and problem resolution. Collects and analyses data to evaluate operational efficiencies and makes recommendations to solve problems. Follows established modelling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities and to determine problem areas and develop solutions.

Shift/Schedule: M-F; 8AM-5PM

What you’ll do:

Identify performance trends, business/industry trends, review sales/financial analyses and interpret dataCreate programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting dataConsistently provide accurate and appropriate data interpretation by applying expertise to thorough evaluation and analysis.Facilitates ad-hoc reporting as necessary for the management teamExamine data quality, applications, and functionsSeek out efficiencies within the business model and develop new best practices, ensuring greater organizational profitabilityMeet with assigned business groups to perform audits for the purpose of analysing management and organization practicesMake recommendations to the group and assist in the implementation of new business practicesInstall metrics, monitor and report back to the businessConducts training via webinars and/or written documentation to educate operations on proper policy/procedure as requested by managementCommunicates and documents changes in organizational procedure to staff as neededImplementation of solution and operations design to ensure that the organization’s operational and strategic objectives are met on relevant projectsFormulate and apply methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with formulation or practice/policy and other managerial functionsInvolvement in top-level strategizing, planning, and forecasting Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by superior

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analysis, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus2+ years of experience in data analysis, data cleaning and transformation, ETL & Workflow automation, BI Tools and visualization, or related roleStrong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) and statistical softwareDemonstrated ability to problem-solve Demonstrate the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve resultsProfessional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is requiredAbility to prioritize and manage different projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlinesResults-oriented with willingness to be accountable for high-profile analysis and presentationsModel Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right wayBe aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at workAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlinesMust be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formatsMust possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
