Kaiser Phlebotomist
Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team in Los Angeles. In this role, you will perform venipuncture and skin puncture procedures, manage pre-analytical and post-analytical steps of laboratory testing, and ensure a high-quality patient experience.

Essential Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick procedures on patients of all ages.Select appropriate phlebotomy techniques based on patient age and condition.Label and transport specimens accurately and efficiently.Conduct pre-analytical tasks such as barcoding, centrifuging, and logging specimens.Maintain inventory of supplies and reagents.Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional demeanor.Assist with patient check-in, revenue collection, and test order accessioning.Float to other medical office buildings (MOBs) as needed.Basic Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a medical setting or equivalent military experience.Education: High school diploma or GED.Certification: California Phlebotomy Technician I or II Certificate.Skills: Ability to handle difficult patients professionally and work cooperatively with staff.Preferred Qualifications:College coursework in life sciences.Experience assisting with bone marrow collection (for some locations).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
