**41689BR** **Requisition ID:** 41689BR **Business Unit:** ISU **Job Description:** The CDM Smith International Development Group is seeking a motivated and capable junior civil engineer preferably with 3-7 years of experience to support the planning, design and procurement of the National Conveyor Project (NCP) Readiness Infrastructure which includes more than 120 km of critical water pipelines ranging in diameter from 700 to 1400 mm, 4 new reservoirs and pump stations infrastructure to convey the desalinated water from the NCP for distribution throughout the middle and northern governorates in Jordan. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, and procurement of water infrastructure and gain hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Key Job responsibilities: - Assist in developing detailed designs for water pipelines, including layout, sizing, and material selection. - Support hydraulic modeling and analysis to ensure efficient and reliable system performance under the guidance of senior engineers. - Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, design documents, and construction specifications. - Help prepare the tender documents and assist in the procurement process. - Participate in site assessments and field investigations to gather data for design and modeling purposes. - Contribute to the planning, design, and procurement of water infrastructure and gain hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary teams. - Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to collect the required data. - Work closely with senior project staff to support overall project delivery. - Participate in internal and external meetings and contribute to presentations and documentation. **Job Title:** Junior Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer, Jordan **Group:** IDG **Employment Type:** Local **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of work experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design, particularly pipelines and/or reservoirs. - Prior experience working at a multinational organization or with local, regional and engineering firms. - Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and GIS applications for design, drafting, and spatial analysis. - Familiarity with the hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerCAD). - Familiar with industry codes and standards, including Jordanian regulations and international best practices. - Strong understanding of water distribution and wastewater collection system design principles. - Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Team player, self-starter and able to work independently and comfortable with a dynamic environment. - Good Knowledge of Microsoft software (excel, word, etc.). - Proven excellence in report writing skills. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Registered and accredited in Jordanian engineers Association. - Must be fluent in spoken and written English. - Must be fluent in Arabic; a native Arabic speaker is preferred. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field. **Why CDM Smith?:** Check out this video and find out why our team loves to work here!
