Junior Sous Chef - Hilton Anaheim

The beautiful freshly renovated Hilton Anaheim is looking for a Junior Sous Chef. If you are looking for the next step in your culinary career, have a positive team focused attitude, and are looking to learn and grow, this may be the perfect role for you.

Schedule: This role will be primarily afternoons and nights. Availability from 3pm-11:30pm including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed

The ideal candidate will possess:

1-2 years of previous culinary leadership experience

Flexible availability

Hotel and Union management experience a plus!

Wage: $28 to $35 per hour

A Junior Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.


What will I be doing?

As Junior Sous Chef, you would be responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, a Sous Chef would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitabilityCreate and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, as neededEnsure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standardsAssist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward
