Duties and responsibilities related to the Junior Sous Chef role
Support the senior kitchen leadership team, including the Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, and Head Chef, in the daily running of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high standards of food quality and presentation.Lead by example, assisting in supervising and motivating the culinary team to maintain smooth and well-organised operations.Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and the implementation of culinary standards across the kitchen.Oversee and assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency, portion control, and adherence to recipes.Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.Collaborate with other teams to support service requirements and enhance overall guest satisfaction.Step up to support Sous and Senior Sous Chefs during peak service periods or in their absence to ensure continuity.About You
You will have proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen. A skilled and motivated culinary professional, you bring solid leadership potential, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. You are eager to grow, develop, and take on more responsibility within the kitchen brigade.
