Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join Oaks Wellington Hotel on a Full time basis.

Responsibilities Include:

Preparing ingredients to use in cookingCook delicious mealsEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyKeep the kitchen organized and cleanResponsible for all types of cleaning, filling records, maintaining food cost, wastage control.  

Hourly rate: $29-$31 per hour (excluding KiwiSaver)

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

2+ years experience in a similar positionKnowledge of breakfast buffet and A-La-Carte is requiredSolid knowledge of various cooking procedures and methodsExcellent communication skillsPositive, proactive attitude and a passion for cookingAvailability to work morning shifts across a 7 day rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays)
