Junior Sommelier
**Description:** + Recommend and serve wines to guests, ensuring proper presentation and pairing with menu items + Maintain accurate inventory of wines and update wine lists as required + Ensure compliance with proper storage standards, hygiene, and hotel policies for wine service + Monitor wine stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor or manager + Assist in organizing wine tastings and promotional events for guests + Handle guest queries regarding wine selection and provide professional advice + Maintain records of wine sales and contribute to achieving upselling targets + Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless food and wine pairing + Support in training service staff on wine knowledge and proper serving techniques + Stay updated on wine trends, regions, and vintages to enhance guest experience **Qualifications:** + Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or specialized wine studies (e.g., WSET Level 2 or equivalent) + Minimum 1–2 years of experience in wine service or as a waiter with strong wine knowledge + Good understanding of wine regions, varietals, and food pairing principles + Excellent communication and guest interaction skills with a passion for wine + Ability to work under pressure and maintain high service standards in a luxury environment **Primary Location:** AE-Dubai **Organization:** Dubai Creek Golf %26 Yacht Club **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Food and Beverage **Req ID:** DUB006602 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
