About the Role
We are seeking a Junior SCADA Administrator to join our dynamic Real-Time Operations team supporting upstream oil & gas activities. This is a hands-on, onsite role based in downtown Houston, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about automation, data, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain SCADA systems for upstream field operations.
Receive and process real-time data from SCADA systems across multiple division locations.
Build and maintain automations and data pipelines to push SCADA data into various databases for use by internal teams developing operational applications.
Collaborate with field personnel and engineers to ensure reliable data flow and system performance.
Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, data parsing, and system integration.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and documentation.
Monitor system health and respond to alerts and anomalies in real time.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Proficiency in Python programming, with examples of personal or academic projects.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Must be able to work onsite every day in downtown Houston. Demonstrated passion for technology through personal projects, GitHub contributions, or hackathons.
Exposure to SCADA platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, ClearSCADA).
Familiarity with upstream oil & gas operations or industrial automation.
