Job Description

AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Milan office.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will be part of a motivated and proactive team, working on multidisciplinary projects delivered across various geographies. This position will provide you with the opportunity to grow professionally while gaining general knowledge of the design and construction processes.

You will learn about the complete project life cycle, from early proposal stages, through project planning and execution, to project closure.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

- Support in managing projects of varying complexities, collaborating with international delivery teams.
- Organizing and managing documentation and delivery
- Client interface: preparing presentations, organizing meetings, defining agendas, and taking meeting minutes.
- Assisting in project performance control and producing project control documentation: risk assessments, schedules, financial control, lists of deliverables, reports, etc.
- Collaborating in quality control processes for deliverables and supporting project quality assurance activities.
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and assisting the Design Manager in coordinating the delivery team.
- Managing project subcontractors, including procurement processes.
- Help with business development tasks, including proposal preparation.

Qualifications

- University Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in architecture, engineering, or construction planning.
- Demonstrated initiative, practical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with the ability to work with various stakeholders: internal teams, clients, sub-consultants, and vendors.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask, overseeing several activities simultaneously.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn and contribute actively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Familiarity with BIM environments will be considered a plus
- Willingness to travel for work.
