Junior Project Accountant
We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Accountant to play a key role in supporting our dynamic project teams. In this role, you'll ensure the accurate and timely entry and reporting of financial data across our systems, contributing directly to the success of our project and the business as a whole.

Your responsibilities will span a variety of essential functions, including accounts receivable, subcontract management, payroll, equipment time entry, accounts payable, month-end reporting, and general administrative tasks. You'll work closely with both management and project teams to ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and complete—making you a vital part of our operation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide reporting and information to project management & operationsSupports the project management team in completing monthly cost and profitability reportingSupports Ledcor Highways Group with administrative tasks including Answering phones, sorting mail, scheduling meetings and vendor inquiresProject specific reporting and analysis for internal and external clientsIn depth understanding of contract requirements for billingDeveloping client relationships with equivalent peer group/contactsAccounts receivable functionsWeekly review of Open CommitmentsPrepares and enters Journal Entries into financial ERP systemManaging the day-to-day activities and development of the onsite accounting team

Qualifications:

1+ years of related accounting or analysis experienceBusiness/Accounting degree or diploma preferredProficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and financial applications including ERP softwareAnalytical skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlinesCommitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal and organization skillsRelevant industry and JD Edwards experience would be an asset

Work Conditions:

This is an Edmonton project site-based position – Monday -Friday
