This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational technical knowledge and a passion for cybersecurity to grow into a professional offensive security role. You will support application and infrastructure testing efforts while learning from experienced consultants in real-world client engagements. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that simulates real-world attacks to help clients identify and remediate security weaknesses. This role offers hands-on experience, training, and mentorship to build your skills in penetration testing. Your role: * Assist in executing penetration tests against applications, infrastructure, APIs, and more. * Learn to emulate threat actors and assess systems from an attacker’s perspective. * Collaborate with experienced team members on projects and reporting. * Stay current with offensive security techniques and tools. * Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for technical and non-technical audiences. Core Responsibilities: * Contribute to penetration testing of infrastructure and applications. * Support testing efforts as part of a global team. * Write technical findings and contribute to final client reports. * Continuously learn and develop your skills through mentorship and training. * Participate in internal research and tooling initiatives, as appropriate. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Background in Information Security, IT, or Computer Science (degree, coursework, or equivalent experience). * Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through self-study, labs, or projects. * Effective Dutch, and English writing and communication skills. * Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work in a team environment. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Participation in CTFs, hackathons, home labs, or open-source projects. * Exposure to scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript). * Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and basic vulnerability assessment. * Coursework or certifications such as eJPT, PNPT, OSCP (or in progress). * Interest in security research, blogging, or community involvement.
