As a junior operational cost analyst, you will be part of a team that assists with cost control and reporting that collectively manages circa £250+ annual OPEX budget used to pay Asda’s technology suppliers who provide Asda with support or services.
The role is responsible for assisting with the annual spend of specific suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the raising of Purchase Orders and receipting of invoicesProduce Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports as requiredProviding support with data analysis on supplier costsIdentify opportunities for cost savings – (save money work smarter)Working with Accounts Payable to ensure payments are processed correctlyKey RequirementsOrganised and diligent with the ability to adhere to deadlinesLogical and methodical approach to analysing dataConfident with Excel, Word and PowerPointAn appetite for self-development and hard work – all with a smileDesirable requirementsExperience of SAPTo ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
