To strengthen its operational capabilities, our client is seeking a motivated Network Engineer / Junior NOC Engineer to support daily operations and contribute to strategic network transformation initiatives.
The Project
You will join a network department involved in: Deploying connectivity in new data centres Enhancing cloud connectivity and network security Modernising the WAN architecture Supporting mission?critical applications across Europe This role offers the opportunity to work in a high?impact technical setting with strong processes, safety standards, and cross?functional collaboration.
The Role
As a Network Engineer / Junior NOC Engineer, you will support 24/7 operations, incident resolution, configuration tasks, and change execution within critical IT and OT environments.
You will ensure the stability and security of network services across several European operational sites while working in a structured and safety?driven engineering context.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Incident Management Support day?to?day NOC activities in a 24/7 operational environment Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents Execute network changes following strict operational procedures Deployment & Infrastructure Evolution Participate in deployment and maintenance of IT and OT systems Support WAN modernisation and cloud?related initiatives Contribute to data centre connectivity integration Documentation & Collaboration Maintain accurate operational and technical documentation Collaborate with technical teams across multiple European sites Ensure compliance with internal quality, security, and safety standards
Profile
Experience A first relevant experience in networking or NOC operations Experience in OT or industrial environments is a plus Technical Skills Operational knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto or CheckPoint) Understanding of routing & switching (CCNA level) Familiarity with Cisco CLI Basic Python scripting skills Experience with backend systems such as monitoring, NAC, syslog, authentication Soft Skills Autonomous, structured, and reliable Strong communication and teamwork abilities Capable of working in strict operational environments Languages Fluency in French or Dutch Strong command of English
Work Conditions Location: Brussels Start: ASAP Work Model: First 3 months: fully on?site Then hybrid: 3 days on?site / 2 days remote, depending on operational needs
