Job Summary:
Leidos is seeking a driven, collaborative engineer with a solid foundation in Kubernetes and a hunger to grow. If you're 1–2 years out of college and have spent time working hands-on with container orchestration, cloud-native tech, or automation—this is your launchpad. You'll join a team that values learning, mentorship, and building scalable systems together.
Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation initiatives
Contribute to team code reviews, testing, and debugging activities
Support performance monitoring and observability practices
Participate in agile ceremonies and team planning sessions
Communicate clearly across engineering and cross-functional teams
Document architecture, workflows, and operational processes
Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 or more years related experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 4 years of Software Engineering experience will be considered
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a professional setting
Experience working in at least one language: Go, Python, or TypeScript
Familiarity with Docker and container fundamentals
Version control experience with Git and common workflows
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
Exposure to HTML/CSS or frontend basics
Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Desired QualificationsExposure to Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Basic understanding of GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD, Helm
Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, or other observability platforms
Awareness of distributed system concepts or cloud platforms like Rancher, Harvester
Comfort reading or contributing to open-source codebases
Experience with log aggregation or monitoring setups
Academic or personal projects showcasing cloud-native architecture skills
