Junior Geologists – Exploration

Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit three (3) Junior Geologists – Exploration to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:
Conduct geological mapping, rock chip sampling, soil sampling, and trench logging.
Assist in drill site preparation, core logging, and sample collection.
Ensure accurate recording and labeling of geological samples
Input and manage geological data in databases and GIS systems.
Assist in interpreting geochemical, geophysical, and drilling results.
Prepare preliminary geological reports and maps.
Support senior geologists in planning and executing exploration programs.
Monitor drilling operations and ensure compliance with sampling protocols.
Maintain field equipment and ensure safety standards are followed
Adhere to company safety policies and environmental regulations.
Participate in safety briefings and risk assessments.
Promote a culture of safe and responsible exploration practices.
Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards
Experience and Skills Requirements:
0–2 years of experience in mining or exploration (graduate roles welcome)
Basic understanding of geology and mining principles
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work in field and mine environments
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in operational settings
Basic computer skills (Excel, GIS, or geological software preferred)
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences
Knowledge of geological software (Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, or similar) is an advantage
