What will you do? 

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work on analytical tasks and projects on huge amounts of data to support data-driven business decisions and development. You will be a part of the team that utilizes data science and statistical analysis to gain insight into asset condition monitoring as well as market and customer behaviors to support aftermarket businesses. 

 

Your responsibility will involve understanding existing data pipelines and algorithms to provide technical and business support, with the goal to enhance and optimize them with new techniques and models. You will as well: 

Assist the implementation of next-generation techniques (such as weak learning, time series, NLP, genAI…), including tests, validation and delivery Explore and implement innovative and advanced statistical approaches to improve and transform solutions Provide support to technical partners as well as business partners to drive adoption Create documentation, compelling presentations and visualisations to explain complex technical algorithms and impacts into understandable business language 

What you have: 

Bachelor/Master or PhD degree (statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, biology or a similar field) Relevant professional experience utilizing quantitative analysis is an advantage Data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, Streamlit Solid background in using SQL and Python, knowledge of advanced statistical models and methods, as well as curiosity to explore and learn more. Knowledge of data-science operationalization (Airflow, Great Expectations, etc.) is an advantage Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience.

Additional Information:  

The position has fixed-term contract (12 months) A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.  There is no relocation and no Visa sponsorship
