Job Title: Junior BuyerJob Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Buyer. You will play a crucial role in compiling and recording production data along with preparing records and reports of production, consumption of raw materials, and other aspects of production.

ResponsibilitiesCompile and record production data from documents such as customer orders and manufacturing orders.Lead the implementation and training of scheduling tools within the business, particularly ERP – SAP.Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, and work production rates.Manage and maintain records, files, and documents related to material planning by opening manufacturing orders, releasing them to business units, and maintaining MRP parameters to support the planning process for current and future demand based on historical data and forecasts.Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.Verify and correct manufacturing transactions as needed to close work orders.Issue stock requisitions as necessary.Address all cycle count related issues.Ensure timely month-end and year-end reporting.Communicate customer order risks to customer service.Be responsible for delivering service agreements to customers.Work additional hours with short notice when required.Essential Skills1-2 years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience.1-2 years of ERP/MRP systems experience, preferably SAP.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.Knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access programs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP is advantageous.Inventory Management experience is a plus.College education is preferred.Exposure to ordering products from overseas suppliers is beneficial.Familiarity with WPG raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture of goods and services.Work Environment

This is a 100% onsite position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with flexibility for early start or leave up to 60 minutes. The office environment is modern and professional, featuring a large office staff and various departments you will interact with daily. The team structure consists of 8 people in total, with 3 people in this exact position. You will have your own workspace in an open floor space with cubicles, a three-sided desk, and a stand-up desk. Key internal relationships include Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
