Role Overview
Junior Ag Broker is responsible for assisting senior brokers in managing client relationships, leveraging all broking opportunities, closing deals and ensuring details of trades are accurately captured. You’ll be assisting in the development and dissemination of “market intelligence and analysis” and helping to support Senior brokers in the development of price and market delivery services.
Role Responsibilities
Promote ICAP as a company and support management and/or senior brokers in facets of the businessHelping to maintain and develop existing client relationships.Assist in the identification of prospective new clients and engage where deemed appropriate.Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the products and markets in which we participate.Monitor markets and follow financial news and developmentsAssist in the development and dissemination of “market intelligence and analysis” and helping to support Senior brokers in the development of price and market delivery servicesGain full operational knowledge and understanding of the “trade lifecycle”Understand the desk’s business strategy and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clientsAssisting in the on-boarding new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding teamLeverage both product and client understanding to Identify internal cross selling opportunitiesEnsure all market communication is on recorded mediums approved by the companyUnderstand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscapeSupport a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with group policiesExercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate.Experience / Competences
