The Salt Lake International Airport offers more than 300 flights daily to 90 nonstop destinations. **Tell me about this job.** We re looking for a qualified, entry-level Chemical or Electrical Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity to work on a unique government contract with battery design, development, and sustainment engineering. The contract assists in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering and will augment government resources. The contract also provides breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and demonstration/validation. As a Junior Battery Engineer, you will work on a high-performing team to provide engineering, technical, and administrative expertise to the government This is an exciting job opportunity where you ll not only work on an important project, but also to help advance the United States military's global deterrent system. A Junior Battery Engineer is expected to: + Learn the fundamentals of the Minuteman III (MM III) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system. Continuously improve that knowledge to apply it to technical analyses and design reviews. + Identify, plan for, conduct, and review technical design reviews. + Make System Level Requirement Recommendations + Recommend requirements for materials and parts, replacement spares, modifications to the weapon system, and upgraded replacements due to technological improvements or changes in requirements + Test, monitor, analyze, evaluate and report on components of the MMIII ICBM weapon system that may affect weapon system performance or that is launch essential or mission critical + Develop, plan and execute special tests for ICBMs + Analyze arming and fuzing functional performance + Support Reliability Scoring Panel and Weapon System Effectiveness Report efforts + Review and coordinate work with other team members to ensure progress is maintained to achieve specified aims; prepare data for reports on technical findings, recommendations, accomplishments and progress measured against specific plans; perform assignments as required by contractual agreements. + Attend conferences and meetings to represent assigned activity. Develop working group meeting agendas, prepare and consolidate briefing materials, provide meeting minutes, and draft answers to action items assigned by other agencies or organizations. + Author and publish white papers, formal analyses, and briefing materials to document engineering-based rationales to inform decision-makers in support of recommendations to our customer. + Complete other duties as assigned. This Junior Battery Engineer position is located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah and is currently permitted to be hybrid telework two days a week but requires the ability to come on-site when required to access classified materials or respond to customer needs. Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status, and qualified candidates must be eligible for and successfully obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. \#ASFS **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor (or Master) of Science degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school. + Able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with minimal supervision. + Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of management, and clients with assorted levels of computer experience. + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals, as well as a fast learner with demonstrated ability to quickly learn technology and understand unique system requirements. Eligible candidates must be able to acquire a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite; a current clearance is helpful but not required). **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills. + 0 3 years of technical experience. + Open to continuous learning. Position will require extensive on the job training. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
