Junior Application Support Engineer

Come Join Us We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The primary goal of this role is to support and sustain critical applications, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. What You'll Do • Conduct daily health checks and provide access management for key DevOps tools. • Perform patching of servers, including verifying server lists and ensuring the appropriate patching procedures are in place. Sometimes including out of hours patching. • Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation. • Assist the team lead and other team members in task coordination and execution. • Manage upgrades and version control for applications under support. • Provide support for ad hoc requests and incident resolution related to tools and infrastructure. • On call support for our team's core tools from 7pm-7am (weekly rotation), with an extra on call allowance. • Testing during tool upgrades. Skills and Experiences You are an experienced Support specialist with a track record of support engineering and client focus. You have good communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute effectively to our Managed Services organisation. Pivotal to the role is your ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form. Your passion for supporting clients and shaping the ongoing continual improvement of our clients’ solutions is what is required for this role. You will also possess analytical and problem-solving skills enabling you to be creative and innovative in the support of our clients. You will also seek to continually improve our clients’ environments though evergreen practices and platform evolution. Experience with CRDR, DeployR, Erwin Modelling Tool and Microfocus Enterprise Developer/Enterprise Analyser a bonus. You will be an Australian Citizen (preferably with existing security clearance).
