Junior Accountant

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant will be an integral member of the accounting team for a 20-month contract, with a strong focus on sales support, order entry, and accounts receivable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with both numbers and people, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting activities while also interacting closely with sales, production, and customers to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, invoices, and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Data ProcessingPost accounts receivable transactions, including invoices and credit memosEnter and post production orders, production logs, delivery notes, and inventory transactionsProcess sales orders, inventory transfers, and inventory revaluationsMaintain accurate and timely financial and operational dataSales & Order SupportGenerate and distribute weekly sales reports and cost studiesMonitor and maintain open orders and daily reportingSupport sales reporting and data accuracyCustomer Service & Administrative SupportAnswer and direct inbound telephone callsProvide shipment and order confirmations to customersAssist the accounting team and reception as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by the ControllerEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or diploma/certificate in AccountingMinimum of two years of experience in an accounting or finance-related roleExperience with ERP systems such as SAP Business One is considered an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExperience in a manufacturing or distribution office environment is an assetFamiliarity with shipping charges, freight allowances, and related documentationStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential customer and supplier information with discretionWhy Join This OrganizationExcellent reputation within a stable, long-standing industrySupportive, welcoming culture that feels like joining a work familyCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to build long-term career growth within a respected organization
