Under the direction of the Director of Accounting and Controller. The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for monthly contractual adjustments/bad debts, preparation of monthly journal entries, assisting in preparing the annual hospital budget, grant reporting, account analysis, assistance with preparation of financial statements (including accrual entries), Payroll and A/P check reconciliation, Fixed Asset Management, charge master control, backup to the Accounting Manager for Statistics reporting, and other responsibilities for Scotland Health Care System. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Business required, preferable with an emphasis in Accounting. Two years of experience preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
