Insight Global is seeking a junior accountant for our non-profit client in Miami, FL.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining sections of general ledger, and producing fundraising reports.

Accounts Payable:

Ø Process Accounts Payable;

Ø Process CC transactions;

Ø Post Accounts Payable credit/debit memos;

Ø Process check weekly check run and emergency checks as needed:

Ø Prepare and post adjusting entries;

Ø Void checks in accounting system;

Ø Creation and maintenance of vendor files and copies of staff auto insurance.


Accounts Receivable:

Ø Enter all payments into accounting system, including but not limited to pledges, grants, and contributions;

Ø Post Accounts Receivable credit/debit memos;

Ø Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner and matched to the correct code in the accounting software.


Cash Receipts:

Ø Prepare deposits;

Ø Make bank deposits;

Ø Enter and post bank deposits into accounting system.


General Ledger:

Ø Post automatic (ACH) deposits;

Ø Post wire transfers;

Ø Post bank, merchant, and payroll processing fees;

Ø Post and accrue for interest earned on investments;

Ø Post ACH payroll deductions;

Ø Record and amortize prepaid and accrued expenses;

Ø Post miscellaneous and adjusting entries;

Ø Record pledges.
