Junior Accountant, Transactional Excellence
Purpose of the position

 


Ready to start your journey in international finance? As a Junior Accountant, Transactional Excellence at Hiab, you'll support a wide range of accounting processes that keep our global operations on track—from month-end close and bank postings to intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliations. You’ll gain hands-on experience in the full Record-to-Report (R2R) cycle while working across different countries and collaborating with teams in areas like OTC, ITP, and HR.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Provide accounting services: deliver services in line with agreed controls and procedures; ensure that data is accurate in company systems; recognize unusual events and work with supervisor to resolve the case, participate in transition activities. 

Comply with internal control procedures and accounting policies in compliance with CAS; ensure all the documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Provide cross training and back-up support for roles in the area of Record-to Report; handle ad-hoc requests

Provide support for roles in the area of Record-to Report.

Responsible for financial reporting operational activities.

Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner.

Deliver error free process.

Building supportive relationships with peers and colleagues.

The role has accounting responsibilities over RTR(GA & IC) and how they are reflected and accounted for in the books. Supporting the AR & AP reallocations as well. 

The role executes ongoing control over the accounting activities in the respective ledger, for which it is responsible.  

This role has a functional reporting line to the Team Leader – Record to Report Hiab Business Center in Sofia, Bulgaria and operational reporting line to Team Coordinator -  Record to Report Cargotec Business Services in Sofia, Bulgaria

Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability

All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Experience

0-2 years of relevant experience in finance operations

Competencies

Experience with simple query handling

Good MS-office skills, ERP knowledge

Strong team player 

Problem solving attitude

To demonstrate analytical skills

Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Taking initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices 

Proficiency of written and oral English
