Junior Commissioning Engineer - Fairless Hills, PAWhat this job involves

JLL is seeking a motivated Junior Commissioning Engineer to join our Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team. This position will be on site in Fairless Hills, PA, for a 12 month minimum project. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the commissioning field under the guidance of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will assist senior team members in delivering quality commissioning services while developing technical expertise in building systems and commissioning processes.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:Supporting commissioning activities under the supervision of senior engineersAssisting with field inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsDocumenting test results and maintaining commissioning recordsParticipating in commissioning meetings and site visitsHelping prepare commissioning deliverables such as checklists and test proceduresLearning and applying commissioning standards (ASHRAE, CSA, LEED)Conducting basic testing and verification activities with guidanceSupporting the development and maintenance of project documentationContributing to issue tracking and resolution processesDesired experience and technical skillsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field0-3 years of experience in building systems, construction, or related fieldBasic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesWillingness to learn and apply technical conceptsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel up to 30% for site visits and field workDesire to grow professionally in the commissioning fieldPreferred:Internship or co-op experience in building systems, commissioning, or constructionFamiliarity with building codes and standardsKnowledge of testing equipment and proceduresExperience reading and interpreting construction documents and drawingsUnderstanding of building automation systemsInterest in green building practices and LEED certificationBasic knowledge of energy efficiency conceptsExperience with data collection and analysisEagerness to pursue professional certifications in the futureFamiliarity with project management concepts
