Qualifications:

1+ year in project accounting OR project coordinator experience

Must have experience from architecture or engineering firm

Advanced experience in Excel functions including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or any other related field of study preferred

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Jr. Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing billing processes, monitoring collections, and supporting project budgeting activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams to provide financial performance insights, maintain accurate contract records, and ensure alignment with departmental standards and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

Manage billing processes and monitor collections.Support project budgeting activities.Assist with accounts payable coding, timesheet entries, and expense report processing.Maintain accurate contract records, including fee structures and budget details.Collaborate with project teams to provide financial performance insights and resolve related issues.Ensure project accounting systems are aligned with departmental standards and contractual obligations.Support document management efforts, including filing in Project Wise and overseeing document control.Provide daily support to multiple project managers and team members.Draft contracts and amendments using company-approved templates.Track project deliverables and take meeting notes.Work independently to complete assigned tasks.Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Understanding of Earned Value Management principles.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attention to grammar and detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.Highly organized, self-driven, and detail-focused.Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Outlook.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.06/hr.
