Description Amazon MGM Studios is the home for talent, creating and producing Original films and television series for a global audience. Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video. We are seeking a seasoned production/post professional to help support content creation and delivery in Japan. This position will support Anime productions from the development all the way to delivery both in production and post production capacity. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in Anime who are able to steam line our expanding Anime content pipeline. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work with multiple stakeholders; complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the business. This position will report to the Head of Production & Post APAC International Originals. The candidate will also have great attention to detail and organization skills, as well as the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is key. Key job responsibilities • Overseeing multiple projects in development, production, post and delivery • Meets with show producers, production managers and creative executives in budget and production meetings to review progress of projects • Works with internal departments and production companies on production & post production schedule, security, insurance, labor issues, post workflow, QC and delivery • Is at studios when necessary to evaluate work-flow, budgets and potential problems both domestically and abroad (as needed) • Analyze post workflow and deliverables • Analyzes budgets and cost reports • Ensure delivery of all required assets. • Coordination with other internal departments such as creative, marketing, press, business affairs, legal, and finance. Basic Qualifications - 6+ years of experience as a producer or a production executive with experiences primary in Anime - Strong knowledge and experience in Anime production and post production at all budget levels - High level of competency with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports - Business proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in Japanese - Positive can-do attitude with strong initiative and follow through Preferred Qualifications - Experience with above-the-line and below-the-line rates and labor laws. - Working knowledge of production and post production norms and procedures in JP Anime production - Experience with asset delivery - Experience with a variety of digital media workflows and post production - High attention to detail - Detailed planning, time management, and organizational skills - High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
