**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Journeyman Telecom Technician** to join our team in **Doral, FL** . **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring reliable communication + Possess an understanding of voice, data, and video networks, working independently and in teams + Tasks include installing and configuring network devices, cabling, and telecom equipment + Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot network issues, and replace faulty components + Use network monitoring tools, analyze performance data, and maintain records of activities + Create network diagrams and documentation and prepare reports on network performance and troubleshooting efforts **Minimum Qualifications:** + HS diploma and 3+ years of relevant Telecom Technician experience. + A candidate holding a relevant bachelor's degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. + Strong understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. + Experience with various telecommunications technologies, including VoIP, VPN, and wireless networking. + Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining telecom equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP phones, video conferencing systems). + Hands-on experience with cabling installation and termination (copper and fiber optic). + Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, outages, and performance problems. + Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, network topologies).. + Experience in creating and updating network diagrams and documentation. **Desired Qualifications:** + Experience with specific telecom technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, MPLS, wireless networks). + Basic scripting or programming skills for automating telecom tasks. + Experience with basic project management principles and methodologies. + CompTIA Network+ or A+. BICSI certifications (e.g., RCDD, ITS Technician). Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco, Avaya). + Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have an active Secret clearance. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. + The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
