Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking a Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator for our Bonnyville, AB location. Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville or Cold Lake area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain Crane, picker trucks and/or boom trucksHaul, load, and off-load equipmentUnderstand and obey all provincial and federal highway rules and regulationsEnsure equipment meets operation and safety requirementsPractice proper legal load securementTake part in all safety meetingsOperate company vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe and courteous mannerComplete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports, log book and safety documentsStrictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirementsWork as part of a team and follow direction from supervision

Qualifications:

Class 1 License preferred (will operate 45 ton picker at times)Current 3 year abstract must have no more than 5 demerits in last 3 yearsFamiliarity with an 80 ton Terex RT Crane is beneficialJourneyman Mobile Crane certification required2-3 years of experience operating a mobile craneMust have a valid H2S Alive and CSO certificatesAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testAble to travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan (flexibility in schedule is required)

Strong mechanical aptitudeYou are safety focused when it comes to people and equipmentPerform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditionsAble to plan and organize tasks meeting deadlines with high performanceYou have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
