Principal Accountabilities

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installationsInstall, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical componentsTest electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistanceMaintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactorsMaintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systemsTroubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devicesFire-alarm troubleshooting and installation/constructionDesign and carry out minor modifications on industrial equipmentConduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance recordsInstall industrial instrumentation and related devicesUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Possess journeyman electrician ticket or equivalentAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respiratorAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to work overtime, weekends, different shifts (4,5,5,4), and holidays with advance noticeBasic ability to use a computer and typing skillsMust be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and WordMust meet and perform maintenance electrical taskExperience with troubleshooting control failuresExperience with electrical test equipmentHas a knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systemsAble to work in a fast paces environmentAble to work under pressureAbility to adapt quickly with industrial equipmentExperience with Allen Bradley VFD

Preferred Qualifications

Able to perform maintenance trades including Hydraulic and Pneumatic SystemsPrior experience in production/manufacturing related workExperience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Experience with Arc flash and shock trainingExperience with fire alarm
