Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing wires in buildings, installing equipment, and troubleshooting machinery once production begins. You will play a critical role in maintaining the electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and production equipment. **Responsibilities** + Install and troubleshoot electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery. + Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment. + Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures. + Utilize a laptop and HMI to interface with various process logic controllers to troubleshoot production equipment. + Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and proximity sensors. + Locate necessary replacement parts for equipment repairs. + Adjust and test production equipment to ensure functionality and peak performance. + Demonstrate knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures. + Initiate purchase requisitions for parts and machines. + Assist mechanics and perform mechanical duties when needed. + Perform preventative maintenance as per schedule. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in an industrial setting. + Possession of a Journeyman's Card (State or UAW, current or expired). + Experience in installing and troubleshooting electrical systems on industrial machinery. + Knowledge of 3 phase motors & 480V and facilities electrical systems. + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Debugging electrical issues. + Industrial and facilities knowledge with a focus on electrical work on machines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Festo Blocks (cylinders) is a plus. + Comfortable working outside normal scope and being a team player. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and growing team at a new plant recently moved from Oklahoma to Warren, MI. The facility operates Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays based on production needs, offering 2nd and 3rd shift openings with training on the 1st shift. Enjoy a 50-cent shift premium for off shifts and double time on Sundays when needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Warren, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
