Your role is Store Designer - Retail Stores & Projects within our friendly and creative Visual Merchandising department.
Your Role:
Manage the end-to-end design process, from concept development to project completion. Collaborate with Senior Visual Merchandiser, contractors and other external professionals to ensure that designs are executed accurately, within budget and aligning with business objectives. Implement and deliver projects, act between upper management and project team. Responsible for the planning, management and monitoring of a project's design and health & safety during the pre-construction phase. Survey buildings at the feasibility stage. Prepare Stores, Shows and Trade Show requirements in 3D/2D plans and elevations, working drawings, signage schemes and colour presentations for internal and external use, using CAD (Vector works) and Adobe Creative suite software. Manage planning, building regulations and relevant statutory approvals. Liaise with and obtain the approval of key internal stakeholders for the proposed designs. Submit drawings to external project managers to obtain quotations for all works. Manage quotations to ensure that work meets budgetary requirements of each project. Manage PO’s and ensure they are raised and issued to contractors in time to meet project timescales. Manage coding and approve all invoices to ensure prompt payment. Manage assigned projects, be the company’s lead representative through the construction period to ensure that the build matches the design intent. Manage external project managers, consultants and other design professionals, manufacturers and contractors. Visit stores throughout each project to ensure that PD requirements are being met and will be built on time and on budget. Manage the brief to creative and marketing teams for the artwork required for shopfront opening vinyls through to In-store Imagery. Manage all snagging and sign off completed projects. Manage store closures and check lists to ensure that equipment is being re-utilised to provide maximum profitability.
Design Development
To own with the Senior VM the review of the store environment and the design and effectiveness of store fixtures and fittings to identify improvements and potential cost savings and to drive more linear. Undertake research to establish appropriate construction methods and materials having regard to the company’s intent to create a more portable, reusable and sustainable shop fit. Source products and samples and produce mood/sample boards for design presentations along with 3D visuals (Sketch or Cad) Manage manufacturers to develop construction drawings and prepare prototypes of proposed new equipment for internal consideration and approval. Manage the store design guidelines and ensure they are updated to incorporate all new developments for internal and external use
Property
Support the property team with design specs for maintenance issues Support the Property Manager with site identification.
General

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:
Google Work Space Adobe 3D/2D CAD Experience with Vectorworks Experience within a similar role is essential ideally within an interior design background Experience managing external contractors and stakeholders
Where will you be working?
This is a Full Time, field based role where you can also expect to be present at The Barn - our purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The details of this will be discussed with the Senior Visual Merchandiser and interview stage and this would be in line with business needs.
