Step into the role of Business Development Assistant here at Joules Head Office within our growing and friendly Partnerships Team!
Your Role:
Develop understanding of the end to end process of contracts and terminology of contracts and new business and B2B models (Wholesale, Consignment, Concession, D2C, SOR, Licensing)
Working independently and proactively to identify opportunities and pitch these ideas to key stakeholders across the business
Act as the initial contact for new potential Partners and Brand Representative for new business
Pitch deck creation - selling tools for B2B selling and pitch decks for selling ideas into the business
Meeting support to ensure actions and follow up - topline commercial discussion with Partners
Understanding of contracts, ability to support where required with marking-up drafts and discussions with Legal
Onboarding process ownership & Critical Path for new B2B Partnerships, ownership of trackers across all new business areas
Licensing - identifying opportunities with large commercial international partnerships but also with smaller key collaboration brand Partners
Product range extension proposals for Licensing/Brands - both existing Partners where there are growth opportunities but also brand new incremental Partners
Setup of new Brands systemically
Competitor Shopping - all Partnerships
Internal Networking - Buying & Brands
Marketing support for Key Accounts / New Accounts, where required
VM/Creative Pull where needed for store initiatives
Trademark registrations for the business - understanding and ownership of business needs relating to trademark registrations
About You:
From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you:
Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial for you to have similar experience within industry.
You should have an outgoing, proactive and enthusiastic nature with the ability to adapt and work collaboratively within our close knit team.
A genuine excitement about the brand is a must (although we don’t think this is too difficult!).
You must be confident in your ability to easily switch between different tasks as the workload is varied and at times fast paced.
Able to work cross-functionally and build strong rapport and relationships across the wider teams and with external stakeholders.
Understanding of Retail, our customer and market positioning.
A genuine sense of resourcefulness and the ability and drive to make the role your own.
The confidence to bring your ideas to the table and communicate these to the Business Development Manager

Where will you be working?
This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
