Step into the role of Assistant Fabric Technologist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) here at Joules Head Office!

 

What to expect on a day to day basis:

 

Understand the Joules quality standards, processes and procedures and the part they play in driving customer satisfaction. Support the Commercial teams to ensure our products meet the Joules quality standard, from design through to production. Constantly drive improvement and innovation with regards to product quality and fabric performance in order to reduce customer returns thus drive revenue.  Support the Fabric team with roll-ups, business level reviews and strategic seasonal cross costing projects.  Complete risk assessments for all new fabrics and mills/routes.  Support with colour and fabric development process from design through to supply chain. Work collaboratively to identify key fabric trends for the upcoming season and present findings to the Buying and Design teams. Ensure minimum parameters are set and monitored with regards to margin improvement and fabric consolidation. Collate information ahead of weekly CP meetings and highlight any risk, recommend solutions and support the Senior teams with issues that arise. 

 

About You:

 

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you:

 

 

Demonstrable experience within the Fashion industry on either the retail or supplier side. Experience within a similar role or factory experience would be highly beneficial. The ability to work flexibly, at pace and manage your own  workload with confidence. The confidence to communicate with key stakeholders. A well rounded knowledge of raw materials, fibres, yarns and fabrics.   You must be a strategic thinker able to drive innovation and strive for continuous improvement.  Passion for product development with knowledge of ethical and sustainable fashion. Strategic problem solving capabilities, working within the critical path whilst always putting the customer first.  Experience using an NIS system. Confidence and capability using Google Suite.

Where will you be working?

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. This role is office based working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together.
