The Biomedical Electronics Repair Technician position works independently with lab staff and the R & D Support to ensure that laboratory equipment is installed, serviced, maintained, repaired and calibrated in an effective and timely manner. Work in a fast paced production environment that provides support to the Screening Area for the Beckman Coulter AU5800 instruments.
The work schedule for this position is: Monday–Friday 9:00 pm – 5:30 am

Job Responsibilities
Perform and document scheduled or unscheduled repairs, maintenance and calibrations on laboratory equipment and support systemsDevelop and maintain a system to document activity, downtime, repairs component replacement parts,Maintain real time instrument dash board for all instruments updated dailySchedule work orders in an accurate and timely mannerOrganize work to maintain efficiency ensuring all critical tasks are completed daily.Interact and coordinate with department managers and supervisors to coordinate work with minimal impact on productionReport daily to management on the status of work requests or work in progressAssist with SOPs and other various functions as requiredRequirements
Bachelor of Science degree, in a technical discipline such as Biomedical Engineering, Computer Repair, Electro-Mechanical Repair, Biology, or equivalent training and experience.Prior experience performing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and calibrations is highly preferredAbility to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems on analytical instruments.Previous experience with Beckman Coulter AU5800 instruments highly preferredStrong communication skills; both written and verbalExceptional organizational skills and record keeping skillsProficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcellent prioritization skills along with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks at one timeAbility to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and to safely carry up to 30 lbs. unaidedComfortability work in noisy, fast paced environmentsIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
