The Inbound Operations Coordinator manages the scheduling, tracking, and compliance of material transportation from suppliers to the production plant. This role ensures timely delivery of materials to support production schedules while optimizing transportation efficiency and resolving potential supply chain disruptions. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless material flow into the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule inbound transportation of materials, aligning with production schedules and inventory requirements. Monitor the performance of logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with service agreements. Coordinate with suppliers to confirm shipment readiness and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays. Communicate with warehouse teams to prepare for incoming shipments and manage dock schedules. Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in routes or processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production planning, inventory control, and procurement, to address material flow challenges. Maintain accurate records of inbound shipments, delivery schedules, and performance metrics. Generate reports on transportation KPIs, including delivery reliability, transit times, and cost efficiency.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in inventory control, records management, or materials/logistics in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory control principles.
Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit standards.
Proven ability to lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
Effective communicator with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Experience in supervising or leading small teams.
Bilingual in English and SpanishPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the automotive industry or high-volume manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, or PPA systems.
Knowledge of Stellantis systems and procedures is a strong asset.
Experience with cycle count programs and warehouse management systems (WMS or YMS).
Understanding of inventory valuation and finance-related inventory metrics.
Advanced Excel or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and reconciliation dashboards.
