The Application and Integration Engineer is responsible for leading the integration of the Javelin missile system onto various platforms, ensuring its anti-tank capabilities are maximized while meeting operational and technical requirements. This role involves coordinating with multifunctional teams, external organizations, and government agencies to manage system integration, requirements development, testing, and fielding efforts. The engineer plays a critical role in resolving technical challenges, ensuring compliance with program objectives, and delivering enhanced capabilities to the warfighter. Roles and Responsibilities

Platform Integration: Lead the integration of the Javelin missile system onto vehicles, turrets, and other platforms. Analyze existing multiplatform requirements and develop comprehensive requirements to enhance anti-armor capabilities.Coordination and Logistics: Collaborate with external organizations and multifunctional teams to ensure asset availability, shipping, and reservation of range time. Develop schedules, coordinate funding, and brief senior leadership on integration costs and timelines.Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks associated with platform adaptor kit integration, including critical software and safety issues. Initiate collaboration with sister organizations and contractors to develop mitigation strategies, saving time and resources.Requirements Development and Validation: Lead efforts in requirements traceability, system architecture, subsystem design, and validation and verification (V&V). Conduct Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) to ensure compliance with Product Item Development Specifications (PIDs).Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance for the Lightweight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU) First Article Test event and requirements traceability. Resolve complex challenges related to electromagnetic effects (E3) testing, lithium-ion battery qualification, and launcher reliability.Cost Analysis and Strategy: Develop cost estimates for integrating platform adaptor electronics kits, identifying significant cost savings while maintaining performance requirements. Communicate cost implications and integration strategies to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with long-term Army objectives.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, or a related field.Experience in missile systems integration, requirements development, and technical project management within the defense industry.Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

2-5 years’ experience in the application and integration fieldExperience with the Javelin product officeKnowledge of DoD standards and regulationsDetail-oriented with a focus on precision and complianceStrong understanding of defense systems and operational requirementsAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
