Role: Senior Java Backend Developer - SAP for Me
Workload: 5 days/week
Location: Fully remote
Project Language: English

Project Focus: Java development Development and optimization of backend components for SAP for Me Focus on data persistence, system connectivity, and data exchange protocols (OData) Enhancing tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and observability Participation in on-call duties as Developer on Duty according to a rotation schedule Implementation of integration design patterns, especially in microservices or event-driven architectures Building and optimizing large-scale, high-performance web applications Technical Profile: Java (11+) - extensive experience in developing production-grade applications Solid knowledge of reactive and asynchronous programming Experience with Vert.x or similar frameworks (e.g., Akka) Familiarity with microservices architectures and integration designs Experience with SAP BTP, OData, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker Monitoring & observability using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Helm chart authoring and confident use of JUnit 5 DevOps mindset with hands-on infrastructure knowledge Nice to Have: Experience with SAP HANA DB Knowledge of SAP Kyma Experience with Node.js
