Job Description We are seeking an exceptional Java Developer (or Fullstack Developer with strong Java skills) to join an Enterprise Finance and Risk Technology organization. The client is a Global Systemically Important Bank (G-SIB) undergoing a multi-year, large-scale modernization of its financial platforms. Sponsored by the CFO, this initiative aims to modernize the finance technology stack, simplify processes, and implement best-in-class technologies. These programs are complex due to the scale of data and the diversity of legacy technology stacks accumulated over more than 20 years. Technology Stack Highlights: - Backend: Core Java with frameworks such as Spring, In-Memory, Caching, and Parallel Processing - Frontend: JavaScript, Angular, React - Data: Relational databases and extensive use of the Hadoop ecosystem, including Spark and Hadoop The role involves hands-on application development across the full SDLC—design, build, test, and deployment support. A strong foundation in Core Java is essential, especially for handling complex calculations and performance optimization. While much of the development involves reuse, performance requirements may necessitate building components from scratch. You’ll work on multidimensional functionality, with calculations in Java and UI in Angular. If you’re focused on backend Java development, you’ll collaborate closely with an Angular Developer. If you bring fullstack capabilities, that’s a major plus for efficiency and problem-solving.
