As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectDrives end to end technical delivery by leading project planning, architectural decisions, cross functional coordination, and execution to ensure high quality, on-time outcomes Maintain and Deploy ECS and EKS applications to AWS Coding, designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java, Spring, Kafka Streams, Flink, Data Lake & Low Latency stores

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability8 plus year of experience in designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java, Spring, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, & Low Latency stores (Cassandra)Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsAbility to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightHands on AWS cloud management experience (ECS)Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldExperience driving end to end technical delivery ensure high quality in executionStrong hands on lead experience with varying levels of Software Engineers
