What will you do?
As a Java Developer within Thales, you will:
Build: Design, develop, test and deploy Java applications that solve real-world problems and delight usersCollaborate and create: Team up with designers, product managers and other developers to brainstorm and implement new features.Innovate and Integrate: work on projects that connect various devices and systems, bringing seamless solutions to liveEnhance and Optimize: Make existing software better, faster, and more efficient, ensuring top performanceLearn, Share and Grow: Participate in code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing. Cooperate to prepare guides and documentation for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Cooperate with Delivery and Field teams regarding troubleshooting and configuration of the solution.About You
To succeed in this job, you should have:
Technical skills:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science, and significant experience in your field of expertise.Demonstrated experience with Java development.Experience with Spring Boot, Micronaut or Quarkus frameworks to develop Micro servicesExperience with distributed messaging, Docker, K8s, etc. technologies.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.Proven experience with the complete process of software development and worked in Agile methodologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+) and Spanish.Any of below knowledge or experiencesKnowledge of DDD and event-driven architecturesExperience with Kafka Streams or another data stream processing technologyExperience with REST APIsKnowledge of cloud technologies like Consul and KubernetesKnowledge of Prometheus to produce technical metricsExperience with Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelinesKnowledge of IntelliJ IDEA or another IDEKnowledge of a second programming language: Kotlin, Scala, etc.Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing software systemsKnowledge and proven experience relevant to border and travel domain.Soft skills:
