Java Backend Developer

The Java Backend Developer Engineer will be responsible for software development in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment.  He/she will also be accountable for delivering high quality software for the scrum team.  He/she would partner closely with the Functional and Technical leads, and other teams as needed to deliver the right business outcomes.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be part of an agile software team, responsible for designing, developing and testing software & services using Java language and other related technologiesWrite code/programs that meets standards and delivers desired functionalityApply principles of CI, Security, Scalability, Refactoring and Testing TechniquesUnderstand performance parameters and assess application performanceWork on core data structures and algorithms and implement them

Proactively sharing information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Work Experience

Required Experience & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experienceExperience in Java using RESTful web services with Spring & Spring boot2+ year of AWS Cloud experience 4+ years of experience in JavaExtensive Experience with Relational and no-SQL Databases, SQL, JDBC, Hibernate etc.,Experienced in JUnit and JSON, REST, Postman.Expert knowledge on Microservices, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Event Driven and messaging services systems such as KafkaStrong Object-Oriented design skills and understanding of MVC.Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins to include branching, tagging and mergingDemonstrated strong problem solving and technical skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work independently
