About the Role
You will lead the resources that manage customer projects ensuring timely delivery, quality and profitability of the projects in the region. You will analyze the project and change requests to optimize regional profitability.
You will influence and promote IC SBU products and capabilities. Influence the customer to take the IC SBU assets as is without customization.
Your Team
Your regional team is made up of ~50 resources, comprised of SW/HW Project Leads, Systems Engineers, and supporting project management, operations, and finance roles.
What You Will Do
Overall responsibility for the Project Management of the SBU’s Japanese Projects
Collaborate with the Japan Sales Teams to promote IC SBU products, platforms and capabilities.
1st point of contact for all escalation issues and work with teams to delivery recovery plans.
Assess the financial viability for all projects and change requests.
Maintain the overall development plan for all Japanese Projects.
Implements overall quality practices and tools aligned with HARMAN standards.
Represent project development efforts with customer.
Supports regional RFI/RFQ
Staff and maintain department resources which includes career growth and technical skills enhancements.
What You Need
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
15+ years of overall professional experience in project management, development and delivery
7+ years in leading multi-national teams/resources
Customer engagement and level 3 support
Proven expertise in developing complex systems from architecture to implementation
Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow diverse teams
What is Nice to Have
Master's Degree in Engineering, MBA
Experience in automotive project development.
5+ years in experience in financial management and P&L responsibility
