Under the direction of the Account Manager will plan, direct, and execute the total housekeeping functions at Unum Portland location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans, directs, and executes the total housekeeping function at Unum Columbia/Colonial Life.Conduct training of new employees in proper custodial procedures, and demonstrate new cleaning methodsMonitor performance of direct reports and advise Maintenance Supervisor of policy violations and poor work performanceDistribute and recover walkie-talkie equipment at beginning/end of shift to ensure protection of equipment.Report all incidents and injuries immediately to Account ManagerOperates various powered equipment in the performance of dutiesMaintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and materials; orders product when additional supplies and materials are needed.Notifies Maintenance Supervisor of needed building repairsExercises initiative in planning and directing custodial operations to ensure adequate coverage to maintain assigned areasExercise independence in the performance of responsibilities; work is reviewed through general inspection and observationManage weekly payroll ensure compliance with payroll policies.Manage labor to ensure overtime is at a minimum and approved in advance.Respond to and resolve various emergency calls and routine calls for servicePerform other duties as requiredAbility To:

Previous commercial janitorial leadership is a requirement.Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.Requires attention to details, a pride in delivering excellent customer services, good organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.Education and/or Experience:
Two years of experience/High school diploma or GED

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $27.41 - $32.2524
