Janitorial Manager

Job Summary We are looking for a dynamic Janitorial Manager to join our engaging team! The Janitorial Manager is a working position who will work on site, lead the staff by overseeing the cleanliness and safety of the facility. The Manager will assign additional duties or reassign staff as needed. The Company will make exceptions for medical, sincerely held religious belief, or other legally required exceptions. **Responsibilities** + Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; developing personal growth opportunities. + Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. + Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations. + Completes operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing new procedures. + Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; monitoring variances; implementing corrective actions. + Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards. + Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications. + Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. **Qualifications** + Minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising a team of cleaners/porters/floor care technicians in a Class A commercial office environment + Minimum of a high school diploma + Experience with carpet spotting & carpet shampooing; stripping and waxing of hard floors; buffing and burnishing + Critical thinking and problem solving + Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities + Conflict resolution experience + Understanding of a Union Environment and Collective Bargaining Agreement + Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook/Email and use of technology as required + Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred + This position is required to work evenings. + Able Services is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our clients, tenants, vendors, and guests.
