Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Direct supervision of the Process Engineering resourcesDelivery of process / equipment improvements for high quality, high yields and minimal downtimeData analysis to identify improvement opportunitiesMaintain departmental performance metrics (yields, etc.)Interface with other departments to establish priorities, manage downtime for trials and maintenance, etc.Manage and deliver cost reduction, efficiency improvement and capacity expansion projectsContribute technical problem solving as needed for the support of general productionMaintain departmental cost center expense and capital budgetsEnsure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management SystemsComply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelinesOther duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management

Education:
Required: BS ME, EE, IE
Preferred: BS in Management & Engineering

Experience Required:
• 10 year’s experience in a manufacturing support or developmental role for technical processes, products and equipment
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner

Preferred:
• 2 years experience in optical fiber, cable or plastics manufacturing processes
• 2 years experience managing Engineering or Maintenance personnel

• Ability to communicate technical issues to all levels of the organization.
• Willing to work overtime and flexible hours, including holidays to support emergencies and planned maintenance activities.
