ITS Application Analyst I / IS Clinical Care Systems

Ambulatory Application Analyst works under the direction of the applicationrsquos team lead to design build test clinical systems They support workflow analysis design and build sessions with subject matter experts physicians nursing and other ancillary services personnel They complete in depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality to deliver expected outcomes Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position Successful candidates enjoy helping other users learn and adopt usage of the application This position is part of an on call rotationPosition ResponsibilitiesFacilitates the design development system configuration implementation and support of information systems for the organizationUnderstands the operational issues within their application area well enough to represent their userrsquos needsPlanning development training implementation and evaluation of application functionalityTroubleshoot research and solve technically challenging problems and customer issuesProvides on call support to customersMay support multi specialty services lines and Epic Applications including OncologyBeacon or TransplantPhoenixWorking with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate development training and implementation of application functionalityCollaborates and consults with application director project manager Informatics and other team leaders to coordinate activitiesAnalyzes workflow and translates into application configurations to ensure consistent system designParticipate actively in weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities issues change communications and updates Coordinates vendor support for functional and technical support of assigned areas as needed Assists in the development and documentation of internal policies and procedures that will be used in conjunction with the applicationBuilds effective relationships and communication with clinical and business partners through all the phases of the projects to support completing projects goalsContributes in the preparation and execution of testing scripts and materials and performs unit system and integrated testing tasksDocuments and maintains all required system design and build documents and configure system accordinglyPerforms other tasks and duties as assignedWork where every moment QualificationsBachelorrsquos degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education training and experience in a HealthCare environment requiredFour years of experience in clinical applications experience requiredExperience in clinical information system management in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferredEpic Ambulatory certification preferredMust be willing to attend required Epic training at the Epic training centerThe Ambulatory Analyst will exhibit the following qualitiesProven ability to successfully work in a matrix team environment that presents
